episode 158 | spooky so faded

EPISODE 158 SHOW NOTES

In this episode I’m wearing my spooky so faded jumper and I love it!

WEARING

This week I’m wearing my spooky, Harry Potter themed (weird) So Faded.

The pattern is an oldie but a goodie from Andrea Mowry (2017) and I made a size 3 on the recommended 3.75mm needles. For reference I am a UK size 12.

The yarns I used are:

First Colour - Unregistered Animagus by A Homespun House - a Harry Potter club colour that I won in Amy’s (@noblecharactercrafts) 2021 make nine makealong.

Second Colour - Aunt Marge & Ripper by Paper Stories - again Harry Potter themed!

Third Colour - Stan Shunpike by Paper Stories - it’s basically a Harry Potter jumper.Zandra’s Rainbow and Forest Stripes.

It fits lovely and feels gorgeous, a real winner.

MATCHING SOCKS (I KNOW)!

I have a pair of matching socks (who even am I?) using the leftovers of the first colour from my So Faded paired with Opal sock yarn in Violet. I made the Bonfire Socks which is one of my last remaining free sock patterns so get in there quickly if you want to make some.

They were living in my Halloween project bag from Ollie & Bella on Etsy.

PUMPKIN PATCH 2022

I’m calling my 2022 pumpkin patch finished and go through all the pumpkins I’ve made in quite some detail.

I used the Pumpkin Harvest pattern from Lene Soholm and CaMaRose which is excellent and has so many different types of pumpkins to make.

I used leftovers for this project, mainly Jamiesons and Rowan Alpaca Classic but also some rustic and very autumnals minis from Crafternoon Treats.

WIP

I worked a tiny bit on my October Socks using the very pretty yarn from Biffsugar Yarns and living in my pumpkin bag from Ollie & Bella.

NEW

I started a project using the Checkerboard Stitch tutorial and my gifted yarn advent from Amy @noblecharactercrafts and it is looking so lovely. I’m pairing the advent yarn with Madelinetosh Merino Singles in Cosmic Wonder Dust and keeping the project in my wonderful bag from Coco & Flora.

I also started the Bloom Blanket CAL from West Yorkshire Spinners who gifted the yarn pack to me. The blanket has been designed by Zandra Rhodes.
