EPISODE 156 SHOW NOTES
Sorry about hurting your eyes! #sorrynotsorry
FINISHED
I finished my granny square top experiment and it turned out lovely, I’m very happy with it indeed.
I used the tiny bits of leftovers from my Indie Yarn Club advent calendar together with some bits and bobs of Stylecraft Special DK. The black is also Stylecraft Special DK. I also used a 4mm hook.
I’m not thinking of launching it as a pattern but I might do it as a tutorial. Tell me what you think.
ALMOST FINISHED
I’ve started on the sleeves of my So Faded and it’s almost finished, yahoo!
I’m using the recommended needles and making a size 3.
The yarns I’m using are:
First Colour - Unregistered Animagus by A Homespun House - a Harry Potter club colour that I won in Amy’s (@noblecharactercrafts) 2021 make nine makealong.
Second Colour - Aunt Marge & Ripper by Paper Stories - again Harry Potter themed!
Third Colour - Stan Shunpike by Paper Stories - it’s basically a Harry Potter Halloween Sweater at this point!
WIPS
My WIPS are all socks.
My first pair are my Bonfire Socks. I’m also using a new Ollie & Bella project bag for them. The Bonfire Socks is a free pattern and I’m using the leftover Harry Potter yarn from my So Faded top, it was a club colourway from A Homespun House and I’m using it together with Violet from Opal.
I’m also making a new pair of October Socks using a beautiful sock set from Biffsugar Yarns called Bon Anniversaire - I think it was a one-off to celebrate Alison’s 50th birthday. The yarn is another one of those colourways that really looks like October so I’m sure they are going to be really pretty socks. I’m keeping this socks in my pumpkin Ollie & Bella project bag.

IN CLOSING
I’m a bit perplexed by the latest Scheepjes Yarn Book I think it’s my age! but I have found a wonderful sea slug pattern that I’m going to make for sure.
The tutorial for the two colour border vintage granny square is now live and you can find out more here and watch the video here.
Enjoy the episode folks and enjoy your knitting and crochet.
