EPISODE 143 SHOW NOTES

Snorlax went to his new home this weekend, I hope he will be well loved :) actually I know he will be. The pattern I used to make him is by Loopy Catherine and you can find it here.

I used Cascade 220 (I think in the Azure 8892 colourway) and a 4mm hook. I also used Cascade 220 for the tummy and feet.

October hand dyed yarn from Lisa’s Attik

FINISHED

October socks are finally finished…..in June :D

It’s a new pattern using a simple slip stitch design and I used this pretty yarn from Lisa’s Attik which didn’t have a name so I called it October, I think you can see why eh?

The pattern is now ready for writing up and testing. I do have some original testers who I need to contact but if you would like to test these lovely socks for me then please email me at emma@potterandbloom.com. Thank you.

I have two pairs on the needles and the second pair uses Cosmic Strings Rose Garden, more very old yarn from my stash, which is working up super pretty. I might try a shadow wrap heel on this pair and not do contrast heels and toes - just for a bit of variety.

WIPS

My summer striped tee is coming along lovely.

I’m using the So Faded pattern by Andrea Mowry and instead of fading am just block striping using two pretty Madelinetosh merino light (old stash) in the colours Pop Rocks (pink) and Candlewick (yellow).

I’m making a size 4 and I didn’t swatch so I have no idea if it’s going to fit.

I’ve worked some extra length on one of the sleeves (I’m keeping the top short sleeved) but I don’t really like it so I think I’m going to try going straight in to some ribbing on the other sleeve and see if I prefer that.

If you want to be kept up to date about my product launches and discount codes, they are sent via my newsletter so subscribe and be the first to know about everything and get 25% off any one of my patterns.
