EPISODE 83 SHOW NOTES

NEW PATTERN

On Monday (full moon, supermoon in Virgo), I launched the Lenten Moon Shawl pattern, a giant circular shawl that can be used as a shawl or a baby blanket.

The pattern, which is available in both UK and US terminology, can be downloaded for free until the next full moon on the 8th April.

It uses aran weight yarn (although you can easily sub for DK) and you can find more information about the pattern here.

WORK IN PROGRESS

I’m working on my second version Cups Socks and I have decided to try a two colour version.

I am using Drops Nord in the Deep Ocean Mix colourway and some light peach fingering weight yarn that I found in my scraps basket.

I’ve now split for the sleeves my No Frills Sweater and whilst I have six balls of yarn attached to it, I am enjoying it very much. I am using Malabrigo Sock in the Pearl colourway and Rowan Kidsilk Haze also in the Pearl colourway.

NEW AND NOTABLE

I wound up a very old skein of yarn from Petra at Black Elephant this week, I’m using it to edge my second Adelaster Shawl and I love the colour, which is called Maui.

I had a lovely surprise parcel from Kathryn of Crafternoon Treats this week. Clarisabeth @crochetcakes had ordered some lovely peachy yarn from Kathryn for my Birthday and she sent that along with a surprise yarn from her too. What great friends.

She also sent some of those amazing stitch markers that tell you what size hook/needle you are using - I need these so bad because currently I try at all times to take a picture of my project with my hook so when I return to it I know what hook I’ve used! Ha!

Enjoy the podcast folks, and don’t forget to be awesome.
