ONE MILLION VIEWS!!

I can’t quite believe that I’ve hit this amazing milestone (I mean, really big WOW), and it’s all thanks to you. I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has watched my podcast and/or tutorials and helped me reach this huge and epic goal. I couldn’t have done it without you….mwah…mwah….mwah.

EPISODE 80 SHOW NOTES

FINISHED

I’ve finished the Waves and Bobble Sweater from @monpetitviolon, well almost finished because of course I ran out of yarn before I could complete the bottom ribbing! Of course I did.

The extra skein arrived today so I will get that finished this week (probably), and then get Betsy to try it on again. We both quite like it without the bottom rib so I’ve decided that we can try it on both ways and then decide which we prefer.

For info, I made the size 7-8yrs and using Socks Yeah DK in the colour Prunus with a 4mm hook.

I also finished the knitted version of the six wives shawl but didn’t get round to sewing in the ends and/or photographing it so I will talk about it with you in the next episode and possibly launch it too! In the meantime here is a sneak peak.

PATTERNS

Last week I launched the Wands Socks pattern and you can find it for sale now on Ravelry. If you click here you can find out more about the socks and get the code for a 50% discount valid until 10th February 2020.

I have also today launched the standalone pattern for the Ruffalo Shawl and you can find it for sale on both Ravelry and Etsy now.

For the month of February you can use the code RUFFALO50 (on both platforms) to get a 50% discount.

The Ruffalo Shawl was originally designed and featured in The Sewing Box Magazine back in August 2019.

WORKS IN PROGRESS

I’m currently working on the Cups Socks which is the next in the series of tarot socks to be launched. I’m again using Drops Nord (all the tarot themed socks will be made using Drops Nord), in the Fog colourway and 2.25mm needles.

I’ve also just started working on the No Frills Sweater from Petite Knit which is causing me endless frustration (of course), mainly caused by me not reading or understanding things properly! Do you know what I mean?

NEW AND NOTABLE

I have recently uploaded a video tutorial for the Hoosier Stitch, you can find the pattern and video link here.

And I have another video tutorial coming next week for the rather aptly named Duchess Stitch.

GIVEAWAY

The One Million Views giveaway is open from now until the end of day (GMT) 10th February 2020 with the winner being announced later that week (probably in Episode 81).

To enter just leave a comment on the podcast telling me the first thing you would buy if you won one million pounds and the winner will be picked randomly on or after the closing date. The giveaway is open to international entries and is entirely of my own devising, it is not sponsored or linked to YouTube or any third parties in any way.

Enjoy the podcast folks, and don’t forget to be awesome.
